For more than 20 years I have been privileged to be involved with the wonderful topic of wine. Thereby every action is different, every moderation individual.

Everywhere I meet inspiring people: Winemakers who are passionate about making their wine, retailers who are looking for the right wines for their customers, restaurateurs who have recognized the potential of wine, journalists who are constantly devoting themselves to new topics and, last but not least, consumers who want to experience wine more intensively.


I am happy to interact with all of them: representing winemakers, cellars and merchants in an authentic way, passing on expert knowledge in a vivid and entertaining atmosphere, and moderating stimulating wine events for wine lovers.

Sabine Ernest-Hahn


Today Sabine Ernest-Hahn works as a sommelier, wine expert, speaker and author and organises events and training courses with her agency WEINCONSULTING.

After training as a hotel manageress, she specialised as a wine waiter under the guidance of one of the best sommeliers in the world, Gérard Basset, at the Chewton Glen Hotel in southern England. Her path led her further to France to the wine university of Bordeaux, where she obtained the "Diplôme Universitaire d'Aptitude à la Dégustaion" DUAD (

After returning to Germany, she worked as a sommelière at Tegernsee and began her work as a seminar leader for the further training of professionals in gastronomy and trade. Since 1995, she has been working independently as a wine expert and seminar leader and is in close contact with restaurateurs and retailers as part of her work. She also organises wine events and tastings throughout Germany, from marketing to implementation.

In 2006, her reference book „Wein in der Gastronomie – Ertrag steigern und Profil gewinnen“ (Wine in Gastronomy - Increasing Yield and Gaining Profile) was published by Matthaes Verlag. She wrote an article on the same topic in the reference book "Weinmarketing - Kundenwünsche erforschen, Zielgruppen identifizieren, innovative Produkte entwickeln" Wine marketing - researching customer wishes, (identifying target groups, developing innovative products - at publischer Gabler Gabler.


In 2020, she trained further in the field of virtual seminars and tastings. Within this capacity, she offers organisation and moderation of high-quality online seminars and events in collaboration with experienced colleagues.

Sabine is a tutor at the Bordeaux Wine School and a teacher at the German Wine Institute. She is also passionate about a number of other interesting wine regions and gets to present them on various occasions.
